Herb of the month: YARROW (achillea millefolium) Yarrow is an execelent herb to have in your herbal medicine bag. As a mouthwash it can cure a toothache; a poltice made of yarrow will stop bleeding; yarrow infusions will help regulate menstral flow and bring down a fever; and it can be made into a hair tonic to prevent baldness and dandruff. yarrow also holds the following magickal properties: courage love psychic powers exorcism. the taste of yarrow tea is unique and is not for everyone. i like it but you might not.(try a combination of yarrow , rose and mint) fortunately yarrow is virtualy free as it grow as a common weed in europe and native america. steeping the flooers and leaves for 3-5 minutes in boiling hot water. created a good tea. long than that and you are creating an infusion. also the stems of yarrow are usually used for the i-ching oracle. WARNING: BEFORE going to harvest your own yarrow i suggest you contact a herb guide for an accurate description. although i have had no problems injesting or otherwise useing yarrow , and i know of no incidents of such things occuring, please be advised that i cannot guarentee that it will not conflict with other medicines you are on or give you an alergic reaction. please consult a professional who knows your medical history. i hold no liability for any mishaps that may happen as a result of you reading this information.
